I have been practicing for more than 7 years now. Whenever I plan a diet chart for someone, one thing I have to struggle is to find enough sources of proteins to make a balanced diet for that individual. If the clientele is non-vegetarian, then the stress is less. For vegetarians, it is very difficult to get the required protein daily from the diet.

As we know the vegetarian proteins are bulky and hence you cannot eat too much quantity at a time. If you eat, you land up having digestive issues and stomach aches. In India, there are more than 80% of non-vegetarians who eat non-vegetarian foods only on weekends or maybe twice a week. So if you average that out, It is hardly some amount of first-class protein in the diet.

Now there are many people who have constraints in following this composition of diet either because family eating habits are different, they are not able to make food available every day, they don’t have time to cook several meals, they don’t have enough time and idea on selection of food and hence they land up taking fewer proteins in diet and hence the diet is on toss.

When you do not eat enough proteins in the diet, unfortunately, you will see that you are eating more of carbohydrates, which is the biggest culprit for all the non-communicable diseases and also for lifestyle disease like Obesity. So what is the next step?
