Ingredients:

2 slices of any kind of bread

1/2 piece of avocado (sliced thinly)

2 slices of cheddar cheese

Pop-tarts can be great for dessert as well as breakfast. If you do not prefer eating the readymade ones with the fear of getting a sugar high that can last for three days or more, you can make personalized pop-tarts as follows.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of refrigerated pie crust
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 small jar of fruit preserves
  • 2 teaspoons of milk

How to Prepare:

  1. First, you will need to roll out your pie crust and then cut a huge square out of the center. Cut the square in half two form two rectangles of pie crust. You will have four rectangles if you cut 2 pie crusts.
  2. After that, you will need to take about 1 teaspoon of jam and then spread it on each rectangle while making sure that an inch of space is left around the edges.
  3. Next, take each rectangle and fold into half so as to cover the jam and them use a fork to crimp the edges shut.
  4. Put them in a toaster oven and bake them for about 7 to 8 minutes until they become golden brown.
  5. Take a bowl and put in the milk, powdered sugar and sprinkles and then mix them together.
  6. Remove the warm pop-tarts from the toaster oven and allow them to cool. Before serving, you can frost them using any design you desire.

3. Blueberry Cornbread Muffins

This is a nice breakfast dish that is both nutritious and delicious. With each blue-berry packed serving, you will get about 1.5 grams of fat, 115 calories, 4 grams of protein and 2.5 grams of fiber. The following is how to prepare the muffins.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup of buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoons of unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2/3 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries

How to Prepare:

  1. First, you will need to take a 6-cup muffin tin and then spray it with nonstick spray.
  2. After that, preheat your toaster oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. Put the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a medium sized bowl and them mix them together. After you are done mixing, set the bowl aside.
  4. Put the buttermilk, applesauce, egg and sugar in a small bowl and then whisk them together.
  5. Take the wet ingredients and add them to dry ingredients and then mix until they are just barely combined. Be careful not to over mix. Once you are done mixing, fold in the blueberries.
  6. Divide the mixture into six muffin cups and then pop them into the toaster oven.

4. Bacon

Preparing bacon using a toaster oven is very simple. It is takes so much less effort compared to frying it. The following is what you will need to do.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound or 16 ounces of sliced Bacon

How to Prepare:

  1. The first thing you will need to do is pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius with the rack in the middle.
  2. After that, take the slices of bacon and then lay them on a wire tray that can fit inside a sheet pan to help extra grease drip away from the bacon.
  3. Allow the bacon to bake for about 15 to18 minutes. Just make sure that it does not burn.
  4. Remove the bacon from the oven and then transfer it to paper towel lined plates for the extra grease to drain.

5. Cookie Crisp

  • Milk

  1. Using a rolling, an empty wine bottle or glass, roll out cookie dough.
  2. Cut out small cookies that are close to the size of a nickel. In case you do not have a nickel-sized cookie cutter in your kitchen, you can use a ring.
  3. After that, preheat your toaster oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and then put in the cookies. Allow them to bake for about 10 minutes or until they become golden brown. The cookies should be crispy but not burnt.
