Problems Faced By Professionals.

By | February 28, 2024

When we talk about professionals or a working population we assume them to be very busy. The intensity of competition in market has forced them to go out of their way and showcase their performance in order to earn a more money, promotions and recognition. Professionals have very less time for themselves, family friends.

In this busy schedule the most neglected part is nutrition. They are so stressed with work that they don’t have energy to spend in food preparation. So whatever easily available option “good” or “bad” they utilize it without thinking on the long term effect of that food on their body. Desk jobs have increased the rates of obesity. Desk jobs require lots of mental attention which may lead to mental stress and with wrong eating habits may lead to Irritable Bowel Syndrome, hypertension etc.

It is very important to follow a healthy diet schedule with your very busy work schedule. As we have been hearing from ages “Health is Wealth”. Stay healthy to become wealthy. So equal importance is required to be given to your health. As I am aware of the few common problems faced by the professionals I will give few suggestions which may help you to help yourself to take care of your routine diet.

Problem1: Long working hours.

Solution1: Take a small break have a small fruit plate, fruit, roasted chana, roasted wheat puffs, a glass of buttermilk, cup of skimmed milk ( mostly used almost in all corporate  tea/coffee vending machines).

Problem2: Not enough break time to have complete meal.

Solution2: Your bosses will not take care of your health and food. Get time for yourself. Eat meals in intervals if not all together. Enjoy your meal with colleagues.

Problem3: Complete Desk Job and no time for exercise.

Solution3: Change your mode of travelling. If travelling by public transport, leave your home 15 mins before time. Sweat off few kilometers and then use the transport. If you are travelling by personal vehicle make sure you park your vehicle little away from your work place so that your physical activity increases.

If there is no time for exercise then it’s all the more important that you watch your diet more carefully.

Problem4: No time to cook at home after a day of tiring work.

Solution4: If you have taken your breakfast & lunch in a healthy way, one meal you can survive with cow’s Milk/ skimmed milk and Cornflakes, wheat flakes, oats or a bowl of sprouts, bowl of soup, Plate of fruits and salads rather than eating an unhealthy dinner of may be burger, vada pav, pizza, Chinese etc.

Problem5: Inspite of having healthy food not losing weight.

Solution5: In order to loose weight only a controlled diet is not enough. Diet and exercise hands in hands will help you to loose weight. So set yourself on treadmill to loose weight.

Problem6: Not enough money to spend on food.14

Solution6: Cost of a healthy diet is not more as compared to the market price of the ready to prepare food, Restaurant food. For that matter if you are staying with family watch the amount of sugars and oils used which is not required. So you can cut down the sugar and oil consumption which is unhealthy and invest bit of your salary on healthy food.

“Apple a day keeps a doctor away” is a proverb but not necessarily eat an apple. If not apple even a guava or papaya is fine.

Problem7: Facing Indigestion Problem:

Solution7: Indigestion is mainly because of eating wrong food and eating on wrong time. It is very important to have meals regularly after 3-3.5hrs interval. Even a handful of nuts eaten are fine. Break the huge meal gaps and it will surely give you relief from indigestion. Also increase your water intake.

Problem8: No time for breakfast.

Solution8: Breakfast is the most important meal. If you are not a breakfast person you will get clumsy and lazy at work early. Breakfast is a energy booster. Start including breakfast to your diet. Cereals are the best option with 1 small fruits and low fat milk/tea.

I hope this article will solve some of your queries and problems.
